Nancy Bouchard, DDS, MHP
On the wall in her parents’ home was a page she drew in first grade. This simple drawing shows “Good Teeth and Bad Teeth,” which just goes to show that she has been interested in smiles for a long time! Beautiful, healthy smiles make each of us feel better about ourselves and gives us the confidence we need in our everyday lives.
Dr. Bouchard is passionate about caring for you, our patients, with compassion and outstanding treatment. She empowers you to achieve your goals of health and beauty in your smiles in a comfortable, happy atmosphere. The joy that it brings her and her team causes us to sometimes break out in spontaneous dance or song! Our goal is to make your smile brighter and your mouth healthier; and to ensure that you enjoy your time with us at Smiles With Care Dentistry.
Before becoming a dentist, Dr. Bouchard attended Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists in Boston and worked for many years as a hygienist in general, pediatric, and periodontal practices. She was a Clinical Instructor at Forsyth and Boston University Dental School, where she instructed students in dental radiology and clinical dental hygiene. Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland Dental School, she started practicing dentistry in MD before moving to Florida to care for her father.
In 2017, ten days before Hurricane Irma, Smiles With Care Dentistry started in Fort Myers Beach. Dr Bouchard has been very involved with the local community, serving as the 2020 – 2022 FMB Community Foundation President and as a 2022 – 2023 FMB Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board Member. In 2022, Hurricane Ian arrived and required a change in location to Fort Myers. Also in 2022, she returned to teaching radiology at Hodges University’s Dental Hygiene Program. She still lectures around the country not only about radiology but also to health care providers about caring for patients with head and neck cancer.
What an adventure this state has been! What a joy to be here and to treat our friends and neighbors in Southwest Florida!
